Translation
Many Chinese parents hope their children can endure hardship, because they believe that only by experiencing difficulties can one truly grow. When I first came to China to study, I felt very uncomfortable adjusting. My Chinese was not good, and life was very hard. But I told myself to keep going. Looking back now, although that period was very difficult, it was exactly that experience that gave me the life I have today. It truly was a case of “after hardship comes sweetness.”
