Usage of ……的时候 (… de shíhou)
Meaning: When… / At the time when…
Context: Used to talk about what happens at a certain time or while an action is happening.
Structure:
Verb / Verb Phrase + 的时候，+ Clause
Note: 的时候 is placed after an action or situation to mean “when” or “at the time of”.

Meaning: To do something too… / Excessively…
Context: Used after a verb to describe the degree or result of an action. 太 shows that the degree is more than expected or considered appropriate.
Structure:
Subject + Verb + 得 + 太 + Adjective / Degree
Verb + 得太多 / 太快 / 太晚 / 太贵
Note: 得 introduces a complement describing how an action is done, while 太 shows an excessive degree. Do not confuse this 得 with 的 or 地.
