Usage of 后来 (hòulái)
Meaning: Later / Afterwards.
Context: Used to introduce something that happened later in a sequence of past events.
Structure:
Event 1. 后来，+ Event 2.
Note: 后来 is usually used when telling a story about the past. It shows that the next event happened after something mentioned earlier.
- • 后来，我又看到果汁也很便宜，就买了一瓶。
(Later, I saw that the juice was also very cheap, so I bought a bottle. / From Text) - • 我先买了牛奶，后来又买了面包。

Usage of 不少…… (bùshǎo…)
Meaning: Quite a lot of / Quite a few / A considerable amount of.
Context: Used to show that the amount or number is relatively large. Although 不少 literally looks like “not little”, it actually means “quite a lot”.
Structure:
不少 + Noun
Verb + 了 + 不少 + Noun
Note: 不少 does not mean “not much”. It means that the speaker considers the number or amount fairly large.
- • 虽然超市里的东西打折，可是我也花了不少钱。
(Although many things in the supermarket were on sale, I still spent quite a lot of money. / From Text) - • 今天超市里有不少人。
(There were quite a lot of people in the supermarket today.) - • 我买了不少东西，两只手都拿满了。
