Usage of 还有 (hái yǒu)
Meaning: And also… / in addition…
Context: Adds one more item or one more point to what you have just said.
Structure:
Sentence A，还有 + Noun / Sentence B
Note: 还有 adds something; 还 on its own means “still”. It can sit inside a list (苹果、橘子，还有香蕉) or open a fresh clause, where it works like “and another thing…”.
- • 东边还有一个电影院。
(There is a cinema on the east side as well. / From Text) - • 有苹果、橘子，还有香蕉、西瓜。
(There are apples and oranges, plus bananas and watermelon. / From Text) - • 你需要吃药，还有，你需要多休息。

Usage of 等等 (děng děng)
Meaning: And so on / etc.
Context: Closes off a list you do not intend to finish. Slightly more formal than just trailing away.
Structure:
Item 1、Item 2、Item 3 + 等等
Note: unlike English, Chinese puts no comma before 等等 — write 香蕉、西瓜等等, not 香蕉、西瓜，等等. Normally used after at least two or three items.
